Business cooperation between Actual I.T. and Droga Kolinska d.d (DK) was constructed in such a way to outsource the entire DK's IT operation and transfer all the IT processes to be performed by the outsourcer – Actual I.T. The effects of such cooperation are as follows:

• consolidation of all the information infrastructure in DK was required due the merger of both companies to continue the high growth within the group,
• the modernization of the entire DK's IT business with the comprehension of key processes was done by Actual I.T. and its partners introducing SAP technology in their environment that combines specific information systems,
• IT outsourcing was introduced to perform the IT support,
• support for IT users was established (Service Desk) that offers quality support to users as well as assuring the statistics for keeping track on business regulations, user education and changes in IT, etc.

With the cooperation with DK, Actual I.T. established and improved some of the key infrastructure sub-systems:

• system infrastructure supervision, communication and workplaces operation,
• handling and maintaining the operation of workplaces without the presence of IT personnel (work stations, server infrastructure, archiving) which is essential for DK disperse geographical business operation,
• business portals were introduced as a way for project management, employees communication, operational support with secondary location which provides 24/7 operation of the central system.

The chosen IT support model enables the information support of the entire group of companies in Slovenia.

Actual I.T. introduced the SAP solution to DK covering main business processes: finance, HR administration including salary calculation, controlling, purchasing, logistics and production. Because of different systems and disparate data structures, the most activities were geared towards transferring knowledge and data management. Specific IT solutions are integrated within SAP environment as one unified IT solution. The SAP NetViewer offers central supervision on all exchanged messages and optimizes the amount and time of dialogs. SAP system offers integration of key solutions to optimize production process, warehouse logistics, keeping track of timely events, and sales support. Based on the principle of »Big Bang«, the solution proved itself as accurate, and DK was able to take a full advantage of it.

Within the implementation of the main business project, there was also SAP BW project started in parallel which was focusing on business reporting and was completed 6 months later after the main process.
